Rebecca Littlewood starred for Oxfordshire's under 13 girls' sportshall team in the national finals.

Competing against 12 other regions at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham, Oxfordshire finished a creditable eighth.

Littlewood led the way for Oxon, taking the gold medal in the standing triple jump with a leap of 7.19m, with Emily Carstairs recording 6.02m in the same event.

Rebecca Hussey ran a storming two-lap race in the heats to reach the final.

There she ran even faster to finish fifth, while the 4x2 lap team of Littlewood, Hussey, Jemma Gregory and Evie Boyd ran an excellent heat and final, finishing in fourth.

Charlotte Drummond and Emily Moore jumped well for ninth place in the high jump, while Harriett Cooke and Lauren Mullins were joint-eighth in the shot.

Hussey and Rosie Kingston both jumped 2.07m for fifth place in the standing long jump, and Emily Dobson and Alex Sweeney took joint-12th in the vertical jump.
