Oxford University soon found themselves up against it when they enterained Warwickshire 2nd on the opening day of their two-day match played under UCCE competition rules.
After winning the toss they were shot out for just 91 as medium pacer Lee Daggett returned 6-31.
Skipper Heath Streak bowled seven overs for five runs and only three students reached double figures Luke Parker (28), Salil Oberoi (17) and Omar Anwar (16).
Mark Wagh and Ian Westwood fell with only 36 on the board in the visitors' reply, but then Nick Knight (101no) and Jim Troughton (88no) took command.
