CHINNOR ended Grove's trophy domination with an 11-6 victory in the Oxfordshire Colts final at Horspath Road.
Grove had won the county crown for four consecutive years as they progressed through the age groups, while Chinnor had lost in the previous two colts finals.
But it was a case of third time lucky on Sunday when the Thame-based side held on for an impressive win.
Chinnor took a while to make the most of their first-half wind advantage before centre Morgan Thompson scored the game's only try.
Thompson, who plays scrum half for Chinnor's first team, beat two men to touch down in the left corner.
Grove hit back with a simple penalty, but Thompson made it 8-3 from longer range.
Thompson extended Chinnor's lead with his second penalty, a feat Grove matched before the break.
Grove kicked for position in the second half, but could not make the most of the wind, which was now in their favour.
Don Quadrado was named Chinnor's man of the-match after replacing the injured Will Batting at prop.
