Full back Nick Sevier scored a hat-trick of tries as Grove thrashed Bicester 43-5 at Oxford Road to regain third place in Southern Counties North.
Wing Tom Harrington created Nick Sevier’s first on five minutes, fly half Roger Sevier converting.
Bicester replied with a pushover try from Edward Peck, but flanker Jamie Fredericks bagged Grove’s second, Roger Sevier converting.
Grove ran a penalty and No 8 Ben Nicholl touched down, Roger Sevier converting, then Nick Sevier bagged his second with a fine solo effort.
Flanker Guy Nicholl was yellow-carded, but wing Gareth Hudson scored Grove’s fifth try.
The second half saw Nick Sevier crash over for his treble and create a second for Hudson, converted by scrum half Dave Maryon.
Full back, Ed Mitcham booted leaders Witney to a 29-3 victory over Aylesbury.
Mitcham slotted four penalties to the visitors’ one to make it 12-3 at half-time.
On 45 minutes, skipper James Lamb chipped ahead and flanker Carl Campbell collected at full tilt to score, Mitcham converting.
Mitcham made it 22-3 with another penalty, then scrum half Gareth Campbell fed hooker Sam Collins to drive over, Mitcham converting.
Chipping Norton missed the chance to close the gap on their relegation rivals with a 39-24 defeat at Swindon.
