Ardley Utd 4 (Bryan 18, 60, 72, 90)

A Virtuoso performance by Ardley United striker Troy Bryan brought Binfield’s ten-match unbeaten Premier Divison run to a shuddering halt at Stubbs Lane on Saturday in the FTL Futbol Hellenic league.

Bryan scored all four Ardley goals as the visitors pulled off a shock win.

He gave them a first-half lead when lobbing the Binfield keeper from Danny Bone’s through ball.

It became 2-0 on the hour, when Bryan, receiving the ball from Jordan Ayris, turned his marker one way then the other before firing home.

The hosts pulled back a goal in the 76th minute when Tim Walsh netted after Ardley failed to clear a corner.

Ardley restored their two-goal advantage when a Murray Nicholls free-kick was headed into the area by Adam Garner and swept into the net by Bryan, who added the fourth in injury time.

Fairford Tn 2 (Hollis 63, 66)

Abingdon Tn 3 (Barson 85, Edney 90, Simms 90)

Abingdon Town made it four league wins on the bounce for the first time in eight years after snatching an unlikely success with three goals in the last six minutes.

The visitors found themselves trailing 2-0 after John Hollis scored twice in five minutes midway through the second half Both teams were then reduced to ten men. Abingdon lost Christian Perkins for throwing a punch in retaliation to an alleged elbow in the face from Fairford striker Jacques Tertois, who was also dismissed.

With only six minutes left, Liam Barson pulled a goal back. Then in injury time, Graham Edney equalised.

Straight from the kick-off a delightful curling finish by skipper Mark Simms from 18 yards gave Town an extraordinary win.

Malmesbury Vics 1 (Cox 87)

Witney Utd 3 (McMahon 61, Odhiambo 72, 90)

Witney United had to wait until midway through the second half before taking the lead through John McMahon’s thunderous half-volley.

That lead was doubled when sub Andrew Younie released Anaclet Odihambo, who beat keeper Luke Alford.

The home side grabbed a lifeline when Chris Cox fired an unstoppable shot past Paul Tassell.

Malmesbury defender Stu Hemsley was sent off for pulling down Odhiambo, who moments later added Witney’s third from Gary Wickens’s clever pass.

Wantage Tn 3 (McKeon 14, Austin 65, 86)

Wantage returned to winning ways with a fluent display.

Sean McKkeon chipped the Marlow keeper from a tight angle to give Wantage an interval lead.

Then Tom Austin netted twice. The first came from Matt Biddle’s perfect pass, while newcomer and sub Adam Bruce set up the last.

HOOK Norton were just not at the races when crushed by Ascot, John Bennett scored a hat-trick, their other goals coming from Tim Standing, Sam McIntyre and Andy Lunn.
