RACING driver Will Bratt made a winning return to the realms at Shenington – and also set a circuit lap record for 250cc gearbox karts.
Taking time out to stay sharp ahead of his maiden FIA Formula 2 Championship test outing in early April, the 21-year-old from Banbury decided to have a run in the 250cc National Gearbox Karting event at his local track and left Shenington with the series lead.
He said: “It’s always a good idea to stay sharp with a bit of karting and always nice to win, whatever race you’re taking part in.”
