Littlemore’s final match of the season, the ‘Blind Pairs’, was fished by ten anglers at Milton Pools, near Wheatley, where Doug Robinson and Toby Pope triumphed with a combined weight of 67.0.0.
On the individual front, Doug had carp up to 8lb alternating between pellet and corn on the pole, ending up with 59.6.0.
Steve Pope fished the waggler with banded pellet and picked off small carp for a second-placed 30.6.0, followed by Gerald Perks with 27.7.0 of carp on pellet.
Predator Angling’s Spring League kicked off last Sunday at Butler’s Hill Farm.
There was a good turnout of 20 anglers, who found the going hard with the carp playing hard to get, although plenty of silver fish came to the net.
Winner Norman McCallum (Predator) weighed in 32.1.0 of carp on the pole at 13 metres on meat and punch.
Les Hill had to settle for second place with 30.6.0 of roach and carp on corn against some reeds, while Craig Partridge was third with an impressive net of roach on maggot worth 20.6.0.
After a hearty breakfast at the Green Road SC, ten members of Yarnton AC fished the Oxford Canal at Newbridge.
With several boats moving, there was a nice bit of colour to the water and at the final whistle, George Thomas took the honours with 8.10.0 of bits including six chub on the pole with chopped worm.
Scott Miller (Predator) was second with 6.4.0 on bread, worm or maggot, while Mick Willoughby caught silver fish on maggot and chop for a third-placed 3.0.0.

Six North Oxford AS members fished a club match on the canal at Wolvercote in glorious sunshine.
Henry Clarke fished pole and chopped worm with a whole worm on the hook for a winning 7.2.0, comprising mainly perch.
Jason Bean fished the same method for a second-placed 5.5.0 of perch, followed by John Coleman with 4.11.0 of perch, alternating between worm and maggot.
