Kidlington Forum B became the new Oxford & District Table Tennis League Divison 1 champions by beating their nearest rivals, Rutherford, 6-4.

With Craige Campbell absent ill, Forum B needed an inspired performance from their captain Andrew Flint, who suddenly hit top form to win all three singles and team up with Ellis Bicknell to win the deciding doubles.

Vikings B lost out to Kidlington Saints 7-3, to confirm their relegation along with Gladiators A..

In Division 2, Vikings E are still on course for promotion with a 10-0 victory over Begbroke B.

Forum E are in pole position to win the Diviison 3 title after beating Gladiators C 7-3, thanks to maximums for Lorne Lonie and Alasdair McPherson.

St James earned themselves promotion from Division 4 with a 7-3 win over Forum I.

It was a good all-round team performance by St James to counter Sindy Li’s maximum for Forum. St James’s Paul Guest gave Li a fright, before losing 11-9 in the decider.
