Mark Bradstock, who saddled Carruthers to finish a gallant fourth in the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup last Friday, sent out Vamizi to score at Exeter on Tuesday.
Bradstock, who trains at Letcombe Bassett, near Wantage, was recording his first winner since Carruthers triumphed at Newbury at the end of December.
Mattie Batchelor was in the plate as Vamizi posted his first win by romping home eight lengths clear of Sir Winston in the novices’ handicap chase over three miles.
