Oxford City 2 (Sandy 3, Steele 16)
Truro City 2 (Watkins 2, Martin pen 66)
Ten-man Oxford City had to settle for a share of the spoils after being pegged back by Truro at Court Place Farm in the Premier Division. Mike Ford’s men were caught cold when Andy Watkins gave the visitors a second-minute lead.
But City levelled when their on-loan Reading youngster Harry Harding set up Elliott Sandy following good work from Mark Bell.
On-loan keeper Jonathan North, playing his last game for the home side before returning to Watford, denied Andy Taylor.
Seconds later, Lee Steele slammed in his 15th league goal of the season from close range.
After 34 minutes City were reduced to ten men when Delroy Gordon was sent off on his debut professional foul to cap an afternoom to forget.
In the second half, the hosts were still trying to sort out their defence when Marcus Martin equalised from the penalty spot following an Andy Ballard foul.
Late on, City might have snatched a winner, but keeper Martin Rice brilliantly tipped Steele’s goalbound effort around a post.
So City had to be satisfield with a point to stretch their unbeaten run to three games.
Oxford C: North, Ballard, Davis, Savage, Gordon, Gunn, Bell, (Janes 65), Sandy, Malone, Steele (Douglas 87), Harding (Clarke 36). Subs not used: Brooks, Moses.
