Banbury United booked their place in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final for the fifth year in a row by seeing off North Leigh 3-0 at Court Place Farm last night.

Declan Benjamin put Banbury ahead on 12 minutes when his shot squirmed under keeper Adam Lonsdale.

North Leigh lost Stuart Hole and his replacement Jamie Jackson to injuries inside ten minutes, and went 2-0 down when Marvin Martin netted Banbury’s second.

Three minutes later, Lewis Hilliard wrapped it up with goal No 3.

Didcot Town grabbed a hard-earned Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division point with a 1-1 draw against in-form Truro, despite having keeper Matt Trott sent off.

A smart goal from Michael Bartley two minutes before the break put the home side ahead, but their lead lasted less than 30 seconds as Andy Watkins finished in style.

It was nip and tuck after he interval until Trott received his marching orders for bringing down Watkins.

Skipper Jamie Heapy took over in goal and helped repel a late Truro onslaught.

Abingdon United were humbled 7-0 away to VTFC in Division 1 South & West.

It was their sixth game without a win and their heaviest defeat for ten years.

United, missing a couple of regulars, were 2-0 down at half- time and shipped five more after the break.
