MID Oxon Under 14s lifted the Vale Cup with a 2-0 win over Cheltenham in their title-decider at Ardley United.
Needing victory to pip Cheltenham for the crown, Mid Oxon took the lead after 15 minutes when Liam Botcherby tapped home.
Mid Oxon clinched victory five minutes from time through Ryan Heap.
Mid Oxon let slip a three-goal lead in a 6-5 defeat by Gosport in the Guggenheim League.
Tomasz Mazur and Heap scored two apiece, with Ed Keppie also netting.
- VALE of White Horse Under 14s came from a goal down at half-time to beat Newbury 4-1 in the Vale Cup at Milton United.
Liam Painter (2), Matthew Woodley and Josh Woodbridge netted for Vale.
Vale were brought down to earth with a 2-1 friendly defeat by Luton at Milton United. Sam Earl was the Vale scorer.
lVALE of White Horse Under 11s drew 1-1 with Oxford City in a friendly at Oxford Brookes Westminster Institute of Education.
Joe Hartley gave Vale the lead, but Oxford equalised when Josh Dunn’s clearance hit keeper Harry Whitehead and flew into the net.
