Dan White was the star with bat and ball as Hook Norton edged past Great & Little Tew by one run in a thrilling Division 1 encounter in the Banbury Indoor League.
Tom Bartlett (30no) and White (26no) helped Hooky to 110-3.
White then returned superb figures of 4-35 as Tew were bowled out for 109, Harry Smith scoring 27 and Jack Taylor 24.
Banbury A slipped to their first defeat of the season as they were beaten by two wickets against Preston Capes.
The result leaves Preston Capes one point clear at the top.
Batting first, Banbury reached 110 all out, Steve Beck hitting 32 and Simon Gaunder 24.
But Capes won off the last ball, reaching 111-4, George Arblaster top-scoring with 32 not out and Rob Williams hitting 29 not out.
Banbury stayed in touch with a five-wicket win over Byfield.
Having dismissed Byfield for just 53, Lloyd Sabin scored 21 not out as Banbury eased to 58-1 in just 4.1 overs.
Banbury Twenty beat Charlbury by six runs.
Rob Hastings (26no), Paddy Kellett (25no) and Keith Arnold (25no) starred in Twenty’s formidable 127-1.
Charlbury were then restricted to 121-4 in reply, despite 31 from Craig McCallum and 30 not out from Roger Knight.
