Ross Swanson showed his versatility by starring in the rugby league Varsity Match at the Twickenham Stoop.
Swanson, who has started at fly half in the last two rugby union Varsity contests, scored 20 points Oxford’s 32-22 over Cambridge on Thursday.
The 21-year-old bagged a hat-trick of tries and kicked four goals from scrum half.
Marcus Alexander-Neil (2) and Greg Coates scored the Dark Blues’ other tries.
George Sykes (2), Jon Garrity and former Oxford Cavaliers full back Greg Cushing were on target for Cambridge, with Cushing landing three goals.
