Oxford United have been in talks with Stevenage to try to increase their away ticket allocation for the top-of-the-table clash at Broadhall Way on Tuesday, March 30.
United have been allocated 1,400 places, which they say is inadequate. The game is not all-ticket.
Oxford chairman Kelvin Thomas said: “We have been in dialogue with Stevenage and the relevant police forces to voice our concern about the initial allocation and feel our away following will be in excess of the current ticket allocation. We feel it will be between 2,000 and 2,500.”
OxVox, the independent U’s supporters’ group, want the fixture to be all-ticket.
A spokesman said: “We note that Stevenage made their fixture against Luton all-ticket and allocated them 2,800 tickets. We are urging Stevenage to treat this match similarly.”
