BB&O leagues
Alchester eased to a 20-12 home victory over Phoenix in the Premier Division.
Flanker Niall Morrow charged down a clearance and prop Nick Brits pounced to score Alchester’s opening try, converted by Ali Smith.
Smith added a penalty, but Phoenix managed a converted try.
Replacement centre Jack Briggs forced his way through for the hosts in the second half, with Smith converting and adding a penalty.
Phoenix scored a converted try from the final play.
Oxford won 27-23 at Thatcham, with tries from Tom Johnson, Jamie Kirkaldy, Andy Smith and Duncan Lynchsmith. Dom Coe kicked two conversions and a penalty.
Gosford All Blacks lost 37-19 at home to Swindon College despite a second-half rally.
No 8 Ashley Brown, a former Cinderford player, scored a first half try treble, while prop Liam Fairbace, full back Angus Wilson, wing Kevin Barker were also on target, with Luke Willis converting.
Gosford captain Murray Stewart was yellow-carded, but Harry Sutton pulled back a try before half-time from his brother Tim’s pass.
Tim Sutton set up a try for Stewart, converted by Ellis, who did likewise after Harry Sutton’s second.
Scrum half Ross Savill scored Swindon’s final try.
