Oxfordshire 3rd finished off their season in style with a 10-5 home win over Wiltshire 3rd in Division 5B of the Inter-county Championships.
With the match poised at 9-5, the home side needed a win in the remaining mixed doubles to gain full points.
Brodie Miller and Adrian Brown came up trumps, clinching a tense three-setter, 21-11, 13-21, 21-11.
This result gave them the full three points available and a second place in the division behind Surrey 4th.
With a few other matches remaining, Oxfordshire should still find themselves in second place at the end of the season.
Oxfordshire’s winning performance came from Miller, Harriet Allen, Nicola Casey and Katy Shuttleworth, Miller and Allen taking both girls singles and all four doubles.
Fifteen-year-old Adam Khimji, playing his first senior county game, lost 21-19 in the third set of a tight singles clash.
