Abingdon United, playing their first home fixture in nearly two months, made it worth the wait by seeing off Taunton Town 3-0 in the Zamaretto Southern League Division 1 South & West on Tuesday.
United looked rusty against a lively Taunton outfit in the first half, which remained goalless.
But as the game wore on, the home side began to find a different gear, with John Mills breaking the deadlock by instinctively stabbing home in the 75th minute.
Three minutes later, Leon Gordon marked his return to the club with a volley for No 2, and Billy Beechers completed the scoring by firing home from inside the box seven minutes from time.
North Leigh picked up a deserved point at high-riding Bridgwater after the match went ahead following a late pitch inspection.
Justin Porter put the home side ahead on 24 minutes, but Stuart Hole levelled three minurtes later with a cracking 25-yard free-kick over the wall and in off the bar.
Jamie Jackson and Ben Reardon went close in the second half, while North Leigh were rescued by one magnificent save from Adam Lonsdale to deny Porter.
