Disabled jockey Philip Prince, who is based with West Ilsley trainer Mick Channon, added another chapter to his fairy-tale story by winning on only his second ride at Wolverhampton on Monday.
The 17-year-old, who was born without a left ear, was made to wait for a year before the British Horseracing Authority granted him a licence.
But riding the Ron Hodges-trained Miss Firefly in division one of the amateur riders’ handicap, Prince extricated himself from trouble to beat Tamino by a neck.
