Banbury Bulls made hard work of defeating Lutterworth 22-14 – having beaten the same opponents 81-0 in October.
Lutterworth were a different side on their own patch, but Bulls were able to take the lead after ten minutes when No 8 Simon Brand was driven over.
Lutterworth’s determination earned them a converted try.
Banbury full back Dave Taylor burst on to the ball at pace to run in their second try out wide.
An overthrown line-out allowed Bulls’ captain Sean Bannister to crash over for their third, converted by Pete Papenfus.
Lutterworth managed a second converted try to trail just 17-14 at the break.
Two minutes from time, Brand set up Papenfus for Banbury’s fourth try.
