Oxford Hawks Ladies came from behind to win 2-1 at Harrow in Division 1 of the South Clubs' League, in their first league game of the year.
Hawks didn’t look their usual selves as they conceded a breakaway, but struck back with a good finish from Kathryn Poulter just before half-time.
In the second half, they produced some quick passing and showed a lot of composure to dominate, with debutant Hetti Murray shining.
Henri Coles got the winner with some fine dribbling, scooping the ball over the keeper with a reverse stick.
Rover Oxford went ahead through a quick shot from Becky Hibbert at home to Surbiton but went down 7-1.
In Division 2, Oxford University lost 4-2 at Trojans 2nd.
After a quick change in venue and some hard work clearing the pitch, West Witney got their Division 3A game started against City of Oxford and were glad they did as they earned a 1-0 victory.
Witney applied pressure from the start, forcing City goalkeeper Julia Nichols into some great saves.
City fought back and had the chance to take the lead when a penalty flick was awarded for a goalline save, but couldn’t convert it.
Witney’s winner came from a short corner routine finished by Anna Kirk on the post.
