Danny Keen’s second-half equaliser earned Wantage Town a share of the spoils against Witney United in the Premier Division at Alfredian Park in the FTL Futbol Hellenic league.
Keen headed home with 15 minutes to go after Paul Tassell made a brilliant save from a free-kick.
Witney had opened the scoring two minutes after the break.
Ben Thompson muscled Chris Copp off the ball, before being bundled over by the Wantage player in the penalty area.
Thompson picked himself up and slammed the penalty past Rob Durrant.
And after Keen’s leveller, Witney almost grabbed a winner in injury time when Thompson’s lob came back off the bar.
Kidlington 2 (Holden 63, Baker 77)
Shrivenham 1 (Carter 25)
Mark Baker grabbed the winner as Kidlington staged a second-half fightback to claim victory over Shrivenham at Yarnton Road.
Ben Carter fired Shrivenham into the lead when he cut inside and drilled in a low shot, which ricocheted off Kidlington keeper Rob Hamling and into the net.
It wasn’t until after the hour mark that Kidlington equalised.
Chris Weedon’s cross was met by a powerful Adam Lovegrove header and when Shrivenham keeper Luke Alford palmed it away, Luke Holden was on hand to poke home.
Shrivenham were then reduced to ten men when Shaun Carter was given a second yellow card and sent off after scything down Weedon.
Kidlington made the extra man count when Lovegrove’s header from Jack Johnson’s cross was turned away by Alford, and Baker netted.
Purton 4 (Day 25, 67, Bowen 40, Fuller 90)
Headington Amateurs 4 (Zaja 35, Jacobs 44, 90, Cuff 52)
Headington Amateurs had vict-ory snatched from their grasp for the second week running in Division 1 West after appearing to have won the game with a last-minute goal.
Purton took the lead when Paul Day finished from close range.
Amateurs equalised when Luke Cuff’s goalbound shot was finished off by Ollie Zaja.
Purton regained the lead, with Lee Bowen heading home unchallenged from a free kick, but Headington were level again before the break with Shaun Jacobs netting.
Cuff pounced on a poor headed back pass to give Amateurs the lead after the interval, but Purton levelled when Day notched his second.
Headington looked to have snatched victory as Jacobs netted with a cushioned volley in the last minute.
But Warren Fuller grabbed a dramatic equaliser in injury time.
Letcombe 1 (Denny 65) Trowbridge Tn 0
Former keeper Stuart Game was pressed into action by injury-hit Letcombe – and produced a man-of-the-match display to help secure victory over Trowbridge Town.
Game stepped in with both regular keepers missing as manager Alan Gifford, with only 11 players, named himself as substitute.
With Game continuing to keep the visitors at bay after the break, Mark Denny fired home Letcombe’s winner from eight yards.
