Nienke Lijzenka collected an impressive haul of eight gold medals for Abingdon Vale at the Maxwell SC Level 2 meet in Aylesbury.

The 11-year-old, who also won a silver medal, dominated the meeting with an excellent all-round display.

Other Vale swimmers to win golds were Olivia Law, Imogen West and Harry Basterfield, while Emma Pearce and Basterfield both achieved club records.

City of Oxford’s Lucy Smith won six gold and two silver medals.

The 12-year-old got the first touch in the 100m & 400m freestyle, the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke and completed her haul in the 200m medley.

Sarah Gould won two golds, with Jack Gosden-Kaye and Guy Giles also victorious.

Oliver Ripley won three of Didcot Barramundi’s eight medals.

The 11-year-old took silver in the 200m breaststroke and bronzes in the 200m backstroke and 200m freestyle.

Kidlington’s Michael Esn-ouf and Matthew Keys-Lumley were among the medals.
