June 7, 1909: Oxfordshire Nomads RFC formed.
October 2, 1909: First match – a 24-3 victory over St Edward’s School.
October 17, 1919: Oxfordshire Nomads disbanded due to number of players killed during the war.
October 21, 1921: Oxfordshire Nomads revived.
February 1932: Oxfordshire RFU formed.
May 27, 1947: Oxfordshire Nomads lead the way in forming Oxford RFC, a unified city club to raise the playing standard.
September 20, 1947: Oxford RFC’s first match – a 9-3 win at Welwyn.
May 29, 1950: official opening of the Southern Bypass ground.
November 29, 1971: Oxford lose 28-12 to London Welsh at Old Deer Park in the John Player Cup.
January 28,1989: Oxford lose 82-9 to Bath at the Rec in the Pilkington Cup.
October 6, 2009: Leadbitter Oxford Academy defeat St Edward’s School 20-15 in ‘replay’ of Oxford’s first ever match.
