PETE Stepney, of Abingdon Amblers, became the veteran 45 champion at the British Masters Indoor Pentathlon at Lee Valley.
Stepney scored 2565 points – 247 ahead of his nearest rival – thanks to the following displays: 60m hurdles 11.22secs, long jump 4.65m, shot put 5.36m, high jump 1.48m, and 1000m 3mins 8.8secs.
Clubmate Duncan Talbot was second in the veteran 55 category, scoring 2,904 points.
