THE Berks, Bucks & Oxon Golf Partnership’s Junior Academy programme has been commended at the annual Invesco Perpetual Awards evening.
Nine centres across the three counties, including Studley Wood and Hadden Hill, are involved in the project to fast-track talented young players.
Hadden Hill’s Mike Morley and Studley’s Dusan Gavril-ovic collected plaques on behalf of their clubs at The Oxfordshire.
In 2009, 182 boys and girls were involved in the Junior Academy programme.
Five more clubs will join the scheme this year including Carswell.
When the new programme begins in March each junior will received a signed card and message from Ryder Cup star and former BB&O player Luke Donald in their packs.
The same awards evening saw clubs such as North Oxford honoured for achieving GolfMark accreditation and Drayton Leisure Centre recognised for reaching RangeMark status.
