Henrietta Knight is preparing to unleash two of the big guns from her West Lockinge stables, near Wantage, this weekend.
Somersby holds entries in novice chases at Doncaster on Saturday and Hereford on Sunday.
And Calgary Bay will attempt to defy 11st 12lb in the Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster on Saturday.
Somersby, who rose to prominence in the betting for the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham when taking the Henry VIII Novices' Chase at Sandown on his latest start, will be attempting to make it three wins out of three over fences “It depends on the weather, going and the availability of jockeys,” said Knight.
“We'll have a little look, but I think I'd like to go for the easiest option with him to give him a nice run. He's done very well since Sandown.”
Calgary Bay showed his liking for three miles at the South Yorkshire venue when successful over the course and distance in December.
The seven-year-old made light of 11st 10lb that day as he came home seven lengths clear of Alderburn.
“He's on course for Doncaster,” said Knight. “He's got a hell of a lot of weight, but he is a huge horse.
“I think he can carry it, but I think there might be something else a bit nippier down the bottom with a low weight.
“This race has always been our aim since the previous time.”
