Abingdon Utd 0
Abingdon United’s return to action after an enforced five-week break ended with their heaviest defeat of the season in Division 1 South & West.
The home side looked sharper in the early stages, and went in front when Jon Beames was adjudged to have fouled a Thatcham striker in the box.
Sam Rea stepped up to slot home the resulting penalty.
The home side were buoyed by this, and created a number of other chances before doubling the lead through Adam Wallace.
In the second half, keeper Beames had to be on his toes to deny Thatcham a third.
A low cross was missed by Brown, but rolled on to Wallace, who was denied by a smart save from Beames.
Beames then denied Brown with another brave block, but moments later, it was 3-0.
Brown flicked a pass over his marker and Wallace chipped in.
Jemel Johnson added a fourth 15 minutes from time when he nipped in to tuck the ball home.
