Easington 5
Headington Am 5 (aet, Easington won 4-3 on pens)
Easington Sports booked a third-round tie against Ardley United after a thrilling penalty shoot-out victory on Saturday in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup.
With the match being postponed five times, it was switched to Headington, and provided ten goals in an amazing game.
Headington led 2-1 at half-time, with Aftab Hafiz and Shaun Pearce (penalty) on target and Adam Daley replying.
Luke Cuff made it 3-1, before Dan Reeves and an own goal levelled the scores.
After Hafiz restored Headington’s lead, Richard Whitton netted late on to send the game into extra-time.
Adam Simmonds put Amateurs back in front, only for Steve Howkins to hit back yet again for Sports.
Easington keeper Kurt Fox then saved two of Headington’s penalties in the shoot-out as his side held their nerve to go through.
