Oxfordshire teenager Sam Stroudley has been enjoying success on the Badminton England tournament circuit.
He struck gold in the Surrey under 15 round at Woking, beating the host county’s Chris Rawson 21-16 in the final.
Stroudley, who lives at the Quarry, Oxford, and is a member of Harwell Badminton Club, had defeated Sussex’s Graham Hutchings 21-16 in the semi-finals.
His success earned him a silver grading from Badminton England, and will also see him climb the national rankings.
