Oxford Harlequins director of rugby John Brodley is urging his players to bounce back tomorrow when they host Exmouth in National 3 South West.
Having lost 36-22 to second-placed Old Patesians last time out, Quins are anxious to rediscover the winning form they had before Christmas.
Brodley said: “It would be good to get back to winning ways and almost start the year again.
“I expect a tough game. They are capable of scoring really good tries and then have moments where they switch off.
“It is about capitalising on them and defending well.”
Captain and prop Simon Chadbone returns to the squad, with Pete Boulton dropping to the seconds.
Wing Grant Ricker will have the ankle he injured against Old Patesians assessed.
Kenny Sewell is expected to continue at scrum half, with Anthony Cope remaining in the centres.
Chinnor name the same squad for their trip to Weston-super-Mare as they did for Saturday’s postponed match against Coney Hill.
This will be their first match of 2010, but they went into Christmas on the back of three straight wins.
Head coach Jason Bowers said: “We are looking to get some momentum going with the next two games.
“We have got a big month to come in February when we’ve got Taunton, Old Pats and Oxford Harlequins in three weeks.”
Henley Hawks should finally play their first match of 2010, after last taking the field on December 12, when they visit struggling Richmond.
Danny Wells come in at centre for his first game since November, while James Gaunt starts at scrum half.
Tom Stradwick moves from lock to blindside flanker, with Jack Hennings dropping to the bench.
Lock Dave Clements has rejoined Henley and plays for their second team at Chinnor in Rugby Tech Shield Division 2.
Scrum half Matt Dawes and lock Dorian Jenkins come into the Wallingford side for their trip to Swanage & Wareham in South West 1 East.
Dawes replaces Derek Viljoen (unavailable), while Jenkins comes in for Tom Rowberry as Wallingford bid to bounce back from their 49-3 drubbing by Cheltenham.
“They were good and didn’t take us lightly,” said head coach Chris Norrington. “We were a little bit off the pace.
“It will be a big win if we can get one at Swanage. They don’t lose many games at home.”
Scrum half Gareth Campbell returns to the Witney squad as they host Beaconsfield in Southern Counties North.
