West Ilsley trainer Mick Channon, who got off the mark for 2010 when Texas Queen scored at Wolverhampton on Sunday, has his sights on some bigger prizes at the Dubai Carnival.

Stable star Youmzain heads out to the United Arab Emirate next month with the Dubai Sheema Classic again his target.

But in the meantime Channon sent his advance raiding party of Halicarnassus, Montaff and Rileyskeepingfaith for a spin on the all-weather at Lingfield as part of their preparation.

The West Ilsley trainer said: “I'm thrilled with Rileyskeepingfaith. He had his setbacks which meant we couldn't get him going, so we had him gelded and gave him all the time he needed.

“Halicarnassus will take in similar handicaps as he did last year with the long-term target being the mile and a half Group 2 on Super Thursday.”
