Oxford City Stars have appointed Ken Forshee as their head coach following the departure to Swindon Wildcats of Simon Anderson.
The first job for Forshee, who will be in charge until the end of the season, will be to prepare the team for Saturday’s trip to Streatham Redskins.
Canadian-born Forshee has a wealth of experience, ironically having held a similar post with the Swindon outfit.
They will be looking to get back to winning ways following a lack-lustre display in their narrow defeat by Bracknell Hornets.
Stars, who saw their training session and game against Division 1 South leaders Kent Invicta called off because of the bad weather, will have to do it without influential forward Juraj Rusic who suffered a dislocated shoulder against Bracknell.
In the only previous meeting between the teams this season, Oxford won convincingly 12-1.
Redskins were poor in that game, but have improved, the highlight a draw against Chelmsford Chieftains.
Nevertheless, the Streatham team will need to be wary as the Stars have lost little of their potency.
With the exception of Rusic, Stars are set to be at full-strength.
