Five Star Events will raise funds in memory of former Oxfordshire cricket captain Phil Garner, who died last September at the age of 63, at their 2010 tournaments.
Garner was a big supporter of the charity series, and a trophy will be played for in his memory at Burford on Thursday, June 17.
The final event of the series will be played at The Wychwood, where Garner enjoyed a spell as captain.
Five Star’s 2010 cause is the Samantha Dixon Brain Tumour Charity, which was nominated by Garner’s widow, Mary.
This year, Five Star will have Gloucestershire cricketer Jonathan Batty and TV antiques expert Charlie Ross as their celebrities.
Batty also played for Oxfordshire, under Garner’s captaincy and Oxford University, and is a 12-handicap golfer.
Ross too has cricket as well as golfing links and plays for the MCC and Middleton Stoney CC.
