Sport in Oxfordshire at the weekend was decimated by the big freeze.
Oxford United’s FA Carlsberg Trophy second-round tie against Woking at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday headed a massive list of postponements throughout the county.
The clash has been rearranged for Tuesday, but a pitch inspection is to take place at midday on Monday with the prospects of the game taking place poor.
Oxford City, Didcot Town, North Leigh and Abingdon United saw their Zamaretto Southern League games called off because of the snow.
No matches took place in any of Oxfordshire’s football leagues, and all the county’s rugby clubs were frozen off.
Even Oxford City Stars had their English National League ice hockey clash against Invicta Dynamos postponed, with the Kent side unable to travel.
However, Oxford Stadium did stage their greyhound meeting yesterday, after Saturday’s card fell victim to the cold snap.
