Wallingford head coach Chris Norrington admitted it was stressful watching as his side almost let Trowbridge sneak a victory.
“How many points did we give away?” said Norrington. “It was at least 14.
“I was having a heart attack. I just felt so sick.
“If we had lost, that would have been a long way to come back from.
“Our morale would have taken a big hit.”
He added: “There were some good things. We scored four tries, with the front row getting three.
“I thought Ed Jenkins had an outstanding game in his first start for a long time.
“The backs lacked composure really, but the forwards were brilliant all day.
“If we cut the errors out, we were 30 points better than them.
“The pleasing thing is that we’ve got a game that can score tries.”
