Chinnor showed great industry to defeat Cleve 27-11 in National 3 South West at Kingsey Road in a match that saw two red cards.
Veteran prop Simon Matthews, on as a replacement, was sent off for illegally using his boot at a ruck – just minutes after Cleve substitute Dan Cox was ordered off for dissent.
Chinnor finished the game with 13 men as fly half James Cathcart then went off injured.
They took the lead with a seventh-minute try from centre Richard Williams, converted by Cathcart.
Chinnor centre Darren Oxdley was sin-binned for not rolling away in the tackle and Cleve fly half Joe Hall slotted the resulting penalty.
A second Hall penalty made it 7-6 at the break, but Cathcart landed two tricky three-pointers early in the second half.
Cleve centre TJ Madamombe was yellow-carded on 50 minutes, then Chinnor wing Ben Farr scored a try, which Cathcart converted.
Cathcart was injured as he forced his way over for try No 3 from scrum half Toby Prescott’s pass, so Williams kicked the conversion.
Cleve managed a late consolation try from prop Will Davis.
Oxford Harlequins were left frustrated after hosts Barnstaple sneaked a 19-19 draw from the last play of the match.
Quins had wasted some good chances, but were leading still 19-12 when replacement Jason Slade pounced on a loose ball to score and fly half Joe Wearne converted.
Barnstaple started strongly and led 6-0 after nine minutes thanks to two Wearne penalties.
Quins hit back on 20 minutes when wing Martin Nutt’s break set up centre Dom Maley for a run to the posts, fly half Jeff Stewart converting.
Warned’s third penalty made it 9-7, but Quins struck twice before the break.
Another break from Nutt set up centre Anthony Cope to sprint in, then flanker Ryan Newman was driven over from a rolling maul, with Stewart converting from the touchline.
Quins lock Adam Pearson and flanker Tim Knapp were both help up over the line in the second half, but Wearne’s 68th-minute penalty gave Barnstaple hope before their last-gasp leveller.
