Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith and Julián Simón, from Spain, were again involved in a final-lap battle for victory at the last 125cc motorcycling grand prix of the year in Valencia on Sunday.
World champion Simón came out on top of Smith for the third successive race.
Simón held off Smith for another thrilling finish, as he crossed the line just 0.22secs ahead of the talented young Briton, who held the lead for several laps, as he rounded off a great season with his sixth consecutive podium and second spot in the championship.
