Manager Chris Wilder was delighted with the FA Cup draw which gives his in-form Oxford United team a great opportunity of reaching the lucrative third round.
The U's were yesterday handed a home tie against fellow Blue Square Premier side Barrow in the second round on Saturday, November 28.
That comes just seven days after the two clubs meet in a league fixture, also at the Kassam Stadium.
“It's a good draw for us to be at home because we've got a great home record,” Wilder said.
“It will be a tough game and again we'll have to play well to get through, and Barrow will be just as keen to reach the third round as us.
“But there's a great incentive out there. The third round is where everybody wants to be.”
United and Barrow have already met at Holker Street this season, in a wind-affected game that finished 1-1.
Looking ahead to the back-to-back Saturday matches against the Cumbrians, United's manager said: “Both games are just as important as each other.
“In the game up there, we should have won late on.”
A home draw in the second round is a fitting reward for the U's for their superb 1-0 win over League One Yeovil Town on Saturday.
And Wilder admitted the performance, and result, didn't surprise him.
“I never expected anything different,” he said.“You always hope the result goes your way, but the effort and the commitment from the players showed we've got something going at this football club.”
