Ardley Utd 3 (Bryan 19, D Mason pen 33, Blossom 55)

Carterton 2 (M Mason 24, Butt pen 30)

Wayne Blossom scored his first goal for Ardley United, and it proved to be the winner in their Premier Division match at home to Carterton on Saturday in the FTL Futbol Hellenic league.

The hosts, boosted by the addition of Blossom and Stuart Bridges, as well as the return of Danny Clarke from injury, took the lead when Troy Bryan headed home from Darren Beckett’s cross.

Carterton equalised five minutes later when Miles Mason turned a defender and volleyed home.

After Bryan and Clarke hit the bar, Carterton won a penalty when Miles Mason pulled down his namesake Danny Mason, Jamie Butt converting from the spot.

Two minutes later Mark Odom hit a post.

And when played switched to the other end, Ardley won a penalty from a corner, which Danny Mason slotted home to make it 2-2 at the break.

Blossom’s winner came in the 55th minute when he finished off a Bridges shot which rebounded to him off the keeper.

Kidlington 7 (Deabill 24, Holden 44, 50, Parker 46, 58, Baker 85, Sanders 89)

Bicester Tn 1 (Phipps 81)

For the second time in a fortnight Kidlington hammered home seven goals in a league match, this time it was against crisis club Bicester Town on Saturday.

Despite having central defender Louis George sent off, Bicester trailed only 2-0 at half-time, the goals coming from Jimmy Deabill and Luke Holden.

Kidlington went on a goal spree after the break, with strikes from Jordan Parker, Holden, Danny Phipps and Mark Baker, who also set up the last for Kieran Sanders.

Witney Utd 2 (Thompson 32, Smith 76)

Shortwood Utd 1 (Casey 50)

Youngster Jack Smith fired home a winner 14 minutes from time as Witney overcame promotion favourites Shortwood United in a thrilling encounter at The Polythene UK Stadium.

Witney broke the deadlock on 32 minutes when Anaclet Odihambo set up Ben Thompson who spun his marker and drove a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Odihambo then saw his lob beat goalkeeper Rich Thomas, but then bounced to safety off the bar.

The visitors got right back into the game after the break when a long throw caused confusion and the ball broke to Ross Casey who shot home from close range.

With the clock ticking, the goal came and from an unlikely source.

Odihambo chased down what seemed a lost cause, and although his cross was headed out the ball broke to Smith who smashed it home.

Fairford Tn 1 (Boucher 70)

Hook Norton 1 (Robbins 51)

Hook Norton were 20 minutes away from their first win of their league campaign when they conceded an equaliser.

James Robbins put Hooky ahead from Pete Moulder’s pass. But Fairford equalised through Matt Boucher’s shot through a crowd of players.

Fairford had John Magani sent off, but Hooky were unable to capitalise on having the extra man.
