CHRIS Wilder hailed his Oxford United players after they sprang one of the day's big shocks in the first round of the FA Cup.
But it didn't come as a shock to him, he said.
The Blue Square Premier leaders reached the second round by beating a team 35 places above them, thanks to Jack Midson's 55th minute lob in front of a 6,000 crowd at the Kassam Stadium.
Wilder said: "I never expected anything different from them.
"Obviously, you always hope the result goes your way, but everyone could see the commitment and belief of my players. We've got something going at this football club.
"Jack's played out of position and has not played as big a part as he would have wanted this season, but he's part of a great team effort.
"And fair play to him, because he's got a goal today with a great finish, end everybody played their part. It was a group effort."
It's the first time Oxford United have beaten a higher-division team in the Cup since their famous televised win over Swindon Town seven years ago.
