Banbury United manager Billy Jeffrey has called on his players to finish the job when they face Ryman League South Division 1 side Godalming Town in Tuesday’s FA Carlsberg Trophy second qualifying round replay at Spencer Stadium.
On Saturday, Banbury hit back for a 1-1 draw, but Jeffrey felt his side should have won.
He said: “We should have killed them off in the second half. We now have to make sure we finish the job.”
David Stone is out with a foot injury, while Nathan Haisley will have a fitness test.
The winners will host Zamaretto Southern League Division 1 Midlands side Arlesey Town, the 2-1 conquerors of Oxford City, in the third qualifying round on Saturday, November 21.
Abingdon United boss Andy Slater has praised his players and wants more of the same when they host North Leigh in the Zamaretto Southern League Division 1 South & West derby.
Slater’s side moved up to fourth following a 2-1 victory at AFC Hayes on Saturday.
He said: “We didn’t play particular well, but we managed to grind out a win.”
North Leigh will be without Ryan Curtin because of a knee injury, while skipper Stuart Huxley is away.
