Bob Chivers (-30) won the opener for Fieldside when he ended Pete Fenn's unbeaten run with a 200-190 win, with breaks of 24 and 26.
John Street (+50) levelled when he beat Norman Woodcock (+70) 150-122.
In the battle of the captains, Terry Chambers (scratch) defeated Paul Robinson (-60) 200-33 and give Ashton victory.
Division 2 strugglers Riley B ended Thame’s unbeaten run, coming from behind to win 2-1, but still top the table.
Tom Fletcher (+80) thrashed Keith Maskens (+50) 150-55, but Doug Baker (+60) beat Peter Hawkes (+135) 150-130 and Roger Tomlin (+90) won it for Riley when he surprised Nigel Bossom(+10) 200-142.
Headington Conservative Club (HCC) A won 2-1 at home to Oracle.
Tony Palmer (+100) saw off Oracle’s Ted Milsom (+60) 150-86 with a 28 break.
Gordon Cook (+70) then made a 21 break to level for Oracle when he beat Doug Howse (+30) 200-108.
John Williams (+70) won it for HCC A with a 150-131 win over Richard Connerty (+60).
