Oxford City Stars take on two former players when they entertain Cardiff Devils in the English National League tomorrow (6.15).
Alan Armour and Andrew Shurmer, both with Stars last season, will be keen to impress.
The Welsh side have only suffered two defeats away against hot favourites Invicta and challengers the Isle of Wight.
With the exception of Dax Hedges, who is away on GB roller hockey duty, Stars head coach Simon Anderson has a full squad to select from, including import forward Ken Forshee, who missed last Sunday’s narrow victory against Peterborough.
Cardiff have built a reputation up for an uncompromising style of play and have several players who are more than happy to engage in physical side.
In addition, they have no shortage of skilful players – a number of which have experienced a higher standard.
