Triple Oxford Blue Tom Tombleson has joined Super 14 side New South Wales Waratahs as strength and conditioning coach.
The 26-year-old will have full contact with the first team, who have 12 players in the Australian squad.
Tombleson said: “I got the job after my boss at Sydney University recommended me for the position.
“I was working as a conditioner for the AFL (Australian Rules) and basketball programmes, while also playing.
“I trained with and for some of the Waratahs who play there outside the Super 14 season. I had a series of interviews and got the nod.”
Tombleson (pictured), who reports to physical performance manager Peter McDonald, added: “I also get to continue playing for Sydney Uni who are in the Shute Shield – the premier club competition in Australia.
“I had a severe neck injury in August, but am going through rehab now and hope to play again in the new year.”
