Saxton Rovers kept up the pressure on North Berks League Division 1 leaders Faringdon Town with a 5-0 thrashing of Wootton & Dry Sandford – their fourth win on the trot, writes Phil Annets.
Garry Hartley and Adam Greenaway both bagged a brace, with Danny Parry scoring their fifth.
AFC Wallingford also maintained their own 100 per cent record thrashing Harwell Village 7-0.
Ben Gladwin notched a double, with Tristan Lewis, Tristan Campbell, Bradley Grant, Tarome Hemmings and Ben Chadbone wrapping it up.
In Division 2, Steventon beat Saxton Rovers Res 5-2, thanks to an Alex Bird double and goals from Stuart Coppock, Martin Gray and Shane Preece-Tripp.
In Division 3, Ian Steele smashed a five-timer in Bampton Town’s 10-2 demolition of Wootton & Dry Sandford Res.
Dan Oyston (2), Tom Boot, George Seacole and Lloyd Hancock completed their tally. Chris Shahab (2) netted for Wootton.
In Division 5, Jamie Gregory scored all Stanford in the Vale Res’s goals in their 4-2 success at home to leapfrog Uffington United Res.
Kevin Edwards and Dale Bird replied.
