Windsor & Eton 3 (Osobu 52, Seedel 70 pen, Chennels 72)
North Leigh 1 (McCabe 22)
North Leigh paid the price for missing a series of first-half chances as they let an interval lead slip on the way to defeat at unbeaten Windsor & Eton in Division 1 South & West (Zamaretto Southern league).
The visitors took a deserved lead thanks to the alertness of Matty Taylor.
Windsor keeper Rob Bullivant was penalised for picking up a back pass inside his own area, and as the home defence protested, Taylor swiftly squared the free-kick for Andy McCabe to drill home from 12 yards out.
North Leigh missed a golden chance to double their lead two minutes later as McCabe was felled as he rounded Bullivant, but the keeper saved Taylor's penalty kick.
It needed another Bullivant save from Andrew Helby to deny North Leigh again.
Windsor drew level seven minutes after the break as a Steve Dell cross found Victor Osobu and his glancing header looped over Sam Warrell into the net.
Another spot-kick proved a turning point as a fiercely-hit Osobu cross struck Stuart Long’s arm as he turned away from the ball.
But the assistant referee flagged for deliberate handball and Matt Seedel converted from the spot.
Two minutes later sloppy defending allowed Michael Chennells to race clear and round Warrell to make it 3-1.
North Leigh: Warrell, Posey, Allen, Helby, Reardon, Dodds, Jackson (Huxley 80), Hole, Taylor (Futcher 80), McCabe, Caton (Curtin 75).
Attendance: 111.
