New signing Luke Holden and Kieran Sanders hit hat-tricks as Kidlington recorded their biggest win of the season in the Premier Division FTL Futbol Hellenic League.
Kidlington were without leading scorers Jimmy Deabill and Mark Baker, but it didn’t stop them running riot with Holden racing through for the opener.
Sam McIntyre equalised after Tom McNamara saved Andy Lunn’s shot.
A Jon Keough own goal saw Kidlington regain the lead, before Sanders exchanged passes with Holden before firing home his first goal for the club.
Sanders rounded Ascot keeper Dave Lyons for his second after the break, and then Holden raced on to another through ball to double his tally.
Sanders raced from halfway to complete his hat-trick, and Holden completed his treble in injury time.
Malmesbury Victoria 2 (Smith 4, Whitefield 37)
Ardley Utd 5 (Bryan 68, 69, 90, Foley 77, 82)
Troy Bryan hit a hat-trick as Ardley United stormed back from two goals down at half-time to claim victory.
Adam Smith raced down the left to fire Malmesbury into an early lead.
Ardley fell further behind when they failed to clear a corner, and Adam Whitefield turned and shot past goalkeeper Ryan Watt.
Bryan scored twice in a minute in the second half to get Ardley back on level terms, racing into the area for the first before looping home a header for the equaliser.
Substitute Tom Foley put Ardley ahead in the 80th minute, and he struck again two minutes later after good work by Bryan.
Bryan sealed victory in the last minute, scoring from an acute angle.
n Witney Utd 2 (Younie 5, Johnson 79)
Shrivenham 0
Andy Younie gave Witney United an early lead after a calamity in the Shrivenham defence.
Shrivenyham goalkeeper Luke Alford left Ben Thompson’s header only to see it rebound off the crossbar and fall to Lee Henderson whoseshot from six yards also crashed against the bar, before Younie poked it home.
Witney didn’t kill the game off until late in the second half when substitute Ricky Johnson headed home a John McMahon corner.
Wantage Tn 1 (McCullough 60)
Fairford Tn 1 (Tertois 88)
Wantage Town were denied victory by a late Fairford equaliser.
A long clearance floated over Wantage captain Gary Swann, and dropped into the path of Fairford striker Jacques Tertois, who lifted the ball over goalkeeper Darryl Simms, Wantage had taken the lead on the hour, Liam McCullough squaring for Richard Claydon to net from five yards.
Highworth Tn 5 (Cooper 3, Hilder 20, Yeardley 22, Robertson 33, Bennett 71)
Bicester Tn 2 (Green 13, Feaver 38 pen)
Lewis George was sent off for violent conduct as crisis club Bicester Town crashed to defeat at Highworth Town.
George got his marching orders after a confrontation in the second half following a reckless challenge by debutant Adam Taylor – who received a yellow card – in the second half.
Paul Cooper had fired Highworth into an early lead, before Dan Green equalised.
But then Dan Hilder scored direct from a corner for Highworth, and Steve Yeardley and Steve Robertson put them 4-1 up.
Alex Feaver pulled one back from the penalty spot before half-time, but George’s dismissal in the second half sealed their fate.
Matty Bennett’s fifth goal for Highworth completed Bicester’s misery.
Hook Norton 0
Reading Tn 4 (Brooks 18, 51, Clark 42, Bratt 48)
Bottom club Hook Norton’s miserable season continued with a drubbing by leaders Reading.
The visitors went ahead when Ian Brooks carved his way through the defence before slotting past Joe White.
Hook Norton concede a second goal just before the interval, James Clark heading home a cross at the near post.
Reading wrapped up victory with further goals from Will Bratt and Brooks in the first six minutes of the second half.
Hook Norton’s Mike Kenny was dismissed by referee Ben James for picking up two yellow cards, while Reading’s Tristan Dennis also received his marching orders for allegedly striking Pete Moulder in an off-the-ball incident.
