BANBURY DISTRICT & LORD JERSEY FA
Arncott booked their pl-ace in the second round of the Banbury Charity Cup as they routed Croughton Old Boys 7-0.
Nick Lee put Arncott in front after ten minutes, before quickly adding a second when he fired home from Dan Smith’s pass.
Chris McMillan made it 3-0 on 25 minutes, before Conner Woolstenholme added a four-th, smashing an effort into the corner.
Karl Houghton made it 5-0 just before half-time.
After the break, Arncott could not repeat their scoring heroics of the first half, although McMillan’s second goal and a 30-yard Dan Smith lob completed the rout.
In the Premier Division, KEA won 5-4 at The Bell Sports.
The Bell went in front through Sean Wilson, only for Mickie Wyatt to equalise.
Luke Cooper restored Bell’s lead, but a goal on the stroke of half-time from Steve Rob-erts sent the teams in level at 2-2.
After the break, a defensive error allowed Oli Khabri to put Bell back in front.
However, a double from Marc Jones and a further strike from Roberts put KEA 5-3 ahead.
Bell’s Louis Eyre reduced the arrears with five minutes remaining, but it wasn’t enough.
