Alchester suffered their first loss of the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier Division season with a 10-8 defeat at Drifters.
Fly half Ali Smith gave them the lead with a penalty, but they wasted other chances, and a converted try put Drifters 7-3 ahead at the break.
Jack Briggs’s try gave Alchester a narrow lead after a Drifters prop was sin-binned, but they slotted a winning penalty, while Adam Thompson’s attempted reply fell short.
Gosford All Blacks surrendered a half-time lead to lose 50-27 at Thatcham.
Skipper Murray Stewart bagged Gosford’s first try, but they then fell 21-5 behind.
Matty Williams forced his way over, with Elliott Newell converting and adding a penalty.
Newell then converted a try from flanker Alex Webb, who soon added a second for a 27-21 lead.
Thatcham came back well, while Gosford flanker Dan Hughes was sin-binned, but the final scoreline was harsh on the visitors.
Harwell were hammered 73-5 at home to Broadmoor Staff, although lock Paul Reynolds’s try reduced the deficit to 12-5 in the first half.
Littlemore pipped Redingensians 18-17 to record their first home win of the Division 1 South season.
They trailed 3-0 at the break, but tries from lock Darren Warne and fly half Lee Gillett, with the latter kicking a conversion and two penalties were enough for victory.
Didcot lost 13-7 at home to Thatcham 2nd in Division 2 South.
No 8 John Madley scored Didcot’s try, with Paul Costello converting.
